On an evening
they had planned for long

She sat across him
with a smile so pretty
that was hard to miss

While she talked
her heart out
He was happy
to just listen

Wishing he could
tell her how much
he loved her
How pretty she looked
this beautiful evening

Hours were slipping by
and so was their time together
As the evening came to an end
she looked into his eyes
and waited for him to say something
that would make her stay

But he could not say it yet
for so many reasons untold
So they parted ways
only to find one day
that there is no other place
they rather be but with each other
And that is how it all started.. :)

It's Not His Love!

It's not his love that makes her beautiful 

It's her innocent smile 

It's not his love that makes her strong 

It's her experience with life 

It's not his love that makes her successful 

It's her own hardwork 

It's not his love that makes her happy 

It's in her nature to spread the smile 

It's not his love that defines her 

It's her beautiful upbringing 

It was never his love and never shall be 

It is always HER with or without HIS love!

Thousand Feelings II - Villanelle Verse

The thousand feelings that are inlay
Vows unwhispered here, yet heard above
In silence our love, my heart conveys

When with you, I move in a world far away
And each breath of mine speaks of our love
The thousand feelings that are inlay

With each beat of my heart, your heart sways
And together we celebrate this blessing from above
In silence our love, my heart conveys

Life long our love will stay
A promise that I have made of
The thousand feelings that are inlay

You might be thousand miles away
Yet our love I cherish each day, my dove

One thing that I know for sure today
I do feel the same, I do my love

A Villanelle is a nineteen-line poem consisting of rhyming scheme: aba aba aba aba aba abaa. The first and the third lines in the first stanza are repeated in alternating order throughout the poem, and appear together in the last couplet.

A Love Story or A Mind Game!

Its a love story about a guy who loved a girl 

The guy was perfect and so was the girl 

But in time it was revealed 

The love was more a logic 

Of what it should be 

A game well- played till the end 

With illusions and promises 

That were nothing but empty words 

But illusions don't last forever 

And one day her world was bound to crash

The girl realized in time 

It was a game and nothing more 

She was playing not to win 

But to lose one day for all 

Yet she played cause she loved him with all her heart 

But love is not what he needed 

He needed something what she never understood 

A scorecard was maintained in the game they were playing 

Which he needed to square 

In every way he can 

'Cause his worth was much more in his eyes 

Than what love could every suffice 

A game that both knew was meant to end 

Yet both played till the very end 

It wasn't that they didn't love 

But that love was never enough 

One day, the final move was made in the game of chess 

The Queen came crashing down while the King stood tall 

Love lost and logic won, once again this very time...

There Is A Girl I Know!

There is a girl I know 

Prettier than she thinks she is 

And lovely as a morning dew

She deserves the world 

And happiness of a lifetime 

She was happy till one day he found her

When he walked into that door

There was something about him

That warned her, he wasn't right

And she knew falling for him

Would be to play with fire 

But a heart is hard to reason with 

And so it happened

He said all the right things 

And made her feel special 

But the reality was waiting 

To knock on the door

The charm was now for someone else

And she was to let him go

A story that was meant to end

From the start

Then why mourn the loss

There is a girl I know 

Prettier than she thinks she is 

Lovely as a morning dew

And the world deserves her.. :)

Like A Moth To A Flame

A moth was in love 

With a flame so divine

Drawn to flame's glory 

Or drawn to it's own fate

Everyday moth would wander in search of it's love

And every night it sat around flame watching it shed tears 

Moth knew flame can't be his 

And he can't be of flame

But then we are drawn to things 

That we can never have

Moth wanted to kiss the fire that meant his end by all means 

But love was all but wait for them 

And so it happened 

One day moth flew into the fire

And fire gulped in red flames of tears 

Moth gave up his life for one kiss 

Fire cried that night till there was nothing but smoke

Lingering around even though the writhing flame was dead

This was a love story of a moth and a flame

Love is not for faint hearts 

But for brave and daring souls 

Cause true love is hard to come by 

And if it does, be willing to sail through the storm

Even if it means to drown in the wrecking storm..

Across the hall,he stood

Just far enough to be seen

Every time I feel a breeze

In a palindrome write, carefully placed words form the same sentence whether its read forward or backward.

It all started on one moonlit night - A Pantoum Verse

It all started on one enchanting moonlit night
    When white serene light was falling on his face
At the time, when the dusk had kissed goodnight
    He felt as in from another time and place

A pantoum verse consists of a series of quatrains rhyming ABAB in which the second and fourth lines of a quatrain recur as the first and third lines in the succeeding quatrain; each quatrain introduces a new second rhyme as BCBC, CDCD. The first line of the series recurs as the last line of the closing quatrain, and third line of the poem recurs as the second line of the closing quatrain, rhyming ZAZA.

The Only Woman

There she is-

the girl of my dreams

walking gracefully like clouds glide through sky

There she is- 

the girl I love with all my heart, 

smiling in way that takes my breath away

There she is-

the girl I am going to marry, 

her eyes twinkling with promises of the future

There she is- 

the woman of my life,

walking in the lovely white laced gown

Inspired by a short write, I read sometime back about a father re-enacting his wedding photo shoot in his house with his little daughter after his wife's untimely demise. This write I wrote was keeping him in mind as the protagonist. Hope you will enjoy reading it.

Ever Since- Triloet Verse

Years ago we met and he doesn't know

          That I have loved him ever since

He looks at me and he takes a bow

With each day my love for him grows 

         I'm a princess and but he isn't a prince

The Triolet ("triplet") is a French verse form,that consists of eight lines, with two rhymes and two repeating lines. The opening line repeats itself in the fourth and seventh lines, while the second and eighth lines repeat.

A blessing

You came into the world before me 

As a blessing from heaven above

A shield from the world and a guide for life

Whatever was your's was by default mine

So many things of your's , I did spoil

But you never complained

You were always there for me

And you will be always, I know

You have to walk away now

From my world into his

And I wish nothing but the best for both of you 

I hope he keeps you safe and happy

And may the sun of many days and years shine upon you both

May your love grow with each passing day 

And guide you through life together 

May the heaven above always has its blessing on both of you!!

Somewhere on this Earth

Somewhere on this earth

There will be our home

Around a peaceful and quiet place 

Waiting for us somewhere 

No matter how small

It will be our own place

I don't want much 

But a place to call ours

We would retire from the world

The little games that we play

Long night walks

Random fights we have sometimes

Times when we talk a lot and times when we don't

When you make me smile even when I am sad

When we share the little we have

Little surprises and gifts that we plan

It isn't only love that binds me to you

But it's all those little things that we do together
